I'm A voracious reader turned writer

I thank the miserably hot Chicago summers for my writing career. My childhood home didn't have air conditioning. My mom sent me to the library, where the cool air and books were free. I grew to love reading as I consumed entire shelves of books. Reading turned into writing, and I just couldn't stop. I went on to study journalism at The University of Missouri and have been writing professionally ever since.

Before launching Aveck, I worked as a copywriter agency-side at Edelman and in-house at Chicago startups Threadless and Sittercity. For years, I also hustled to build my freelance business on the side. When I had enough clients to cover the bills, I took the leap into working for myself. I love the flexibility and variety that running my own business offers.

I enjoy biking all over any city on the planet and chatting with neat people like you (especially if we’re chatting in French.) My favorite conversations are had with friends or strangers over tacos, cheese or wine.

Choose your corner, pick away at it carefully, intensely and to the best of your ability and that way you might change the world.
